Recent & Future  Projects

The first project of the Louisiana Voter Information Project was in Louisiana House District 92 in Kenner in 2022. We informed the voters in that district about key votes made by Louisiana State Representative Joe Stagni (R-Kenner) on issues such as transgender athletic participation and COVID mandates. We were ultimately successful in our efforts as Representative Stagni changed his vote and legislation preventing transgender athletic participation eventually became law in Louisiana.

In the fall of 2022, we started to highlight the problem of the outdated and inaccurate voter rolls in Orleans Parish and the negative impact it creates for statewide elections and for voters in the other parishes throughout the state.

We urged citizens to contact Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin, who is the chief election officer in our state. Again, we were successful with our campaign as he removed 25,000 names from the voter rolls in 2023 during the recall campaign of New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell.

In addition, due to pressure from our organization and other groups, Secretary Ardoin decided not to run for re-election in 2023.

In the legislative session of 2023, we supported a bill to give the public the right to recall and replace an elected official who betrays the trust of voters. When the bill was changed in a way that made it ineffective, we were successful in defeating the legislation.

In 2024, we intend to continue to push for the right of citizens to recall an elected official who has betrayed the trust of voters.

We will place the issue of election integrity at the forefront of our efforts in the upcoming year. Without honest elections, there cannot be honest government.

A major priority for all of our new statewide officials should be to clean up our corrupt voter rolls that are filled with names of people who have died, moved, or don’t even exist.

In the LaToya Cantrell recall campaign, organizers discovered tens of thousands of mistakes on the Orleans Parish voter rolls. Imagine the problems throughout our state.

Our next project will focus on the upcoming election for the Jefferson Parish Republican Executive Committee. We will educate voters about the voting history of some candidates - and of the Committee itself.

Is the Committee important? YOU BET! ! ! You would be surprised about how much this committee influences your local government!

So, stay tuned, learn about the Committee - and get ready to vote for Committee Members in March - which will be here before you know it !

Help us ensure our political leaders prioritize these vital issues.
